Terms
Last updated 13 October 2026
The short version
- What you put in an itinerary stays yours. We keep it so the app works, and show it only to the people in that itinerary.
- Share a code only with people you mean to invite. Anyone holding it can join until it stops working.
- Only add photos you are happy for the whole group to see, and nothing of anyone who has not agreed to it.
- Times, places and travel times come from what people typed and from Google. Check anything that matters, like a flight, with whoever sold it to you.
- The app is free for small groups. If bigger groups ever need to pay, you will see the price before you are charged anything.
- You can leave an itinerary or delete your account in the app whenever you like.
Who we are
Check The App is made by TMDigital Studio Ltd ("we" and "us" on this page). These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the app or this website. By using either, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
How we handle your information is in the privacy policy. It is part of these terms.
Joining, codes and sign-ins
You can join an itinerary with a code, a link or a QR code, and pick your name from the organiser's list. You do not need an account for that. You can add a sign-in if you want what you have added to follow you to a new phone.
A code is the key to an itinerary. Anyone who has it can see the invite and join, until the code runs out, the itinerary is full, or the organiser makes a new code, which stops the old one. So share it only with the people you mean to invite. If a code reaches somebody it should not have, make a new one.
Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with it.
Children can use the app with a parent's or guardian's say-so.
What you put in
Itineraries, notes, names and photos that you add stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them to the people in that itinerary, in the ways the app does, for as long as they are in it. We do not use them for anything else, and we do not sell them.
Everybody in an itinerary can see what is in it, photos included. The organiser, and anyone they make an editor, can change the itinerary and remove what is in it.
Only add what you have the right to add. Please do not add anything unlawful, hateful or hurtful, anything private about someone else, or photos of anyone who has not agreed to them. We may remove anything that breaks these terms.
Using it fairly
Please do not:
- use the app to break the law, or to harass or harm anybody;
- try to get into an itinerary you were not invited to, or guess codes;
- try to break, overload or get round the limits of the app or the servers behind it;
- copy, resell or take apart the app, or collect other people's information from it.
If somebody does, we may stop their access to the app, and remove what they added.
Suggestions made by AI
Where the app offers to suggest changes to an itinerary with AI, a suggestion changes nothing until an editor accepts it. It can be wrong, so read it before you do.
Check what matters
The app shows what the people in an itinerary wrote: the times, the places, the bookings. Travel times and places come from Google. Any of these can be wrong or out of date, and phones do not always get a notification or a signal.
So the app is a help with the plan, not the word on it. For anything that matters, like a flight, a train, a booking or a meeting time, check with whoever runs it. We are not responsible for a missed connection or a booking that went wrong because of what the app showed.
What it costs
Check The App is free for small groups. An itinerary has limits, such as how many people and photos it can hold. If we ever offer paid options for bigger groups, the price and what it gets you will be shown before you pay, and you will pay through the App Store or Google Play under their terms. Nothing is ever charged without you agreeing to it there.
Changes to the app
We keep improving the app, so it will change. We may also have to pause it, limit it, or one day stop it. If we plan to stop it, we will say so in the app well before, where we can, so you have time to keep what you need.
Leaving
You can leave an itinerary at any time: on the Account tab, press Leave this itinerary. If you made it, you can delete it instead, for everyone.
To delete your account, go to the Account tab, open your sign-in, and press Delete account. That deletes your sign-in and everything you have added. The privacy policy says what is kept and for how long.
We may close an account that breaks these terms. Where it is fair to, we will tell you first.
Our responsibility to you
We make the app with care, but we cannot promise it will always work, or work without mistakes. It is provided as it is.
We are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have expected, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit. If you use the app as a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not take away.
If you got the app from the App Store or Google Play
These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. We are responsible for the app and for supporting it, not them. If you got it from the App Store, Apple's standard licence for apps (the Licensed Application End User License Agreement) applies as well, and where the two disagree about Apple, Apple's licence wins.
If these terms change
If we change these terms, this page changes first and the date at the top moves with it. If a change makes a real difference to you, we will say so in the app before it applies. Carrying on using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
The law, and how to reach us
These terms are under the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your own courts.
If something has gone wrong, please tell us first and we will try to put it right: admin@tmdigitalstudio.co.uk.
